The holidays are most definitely one of my favorite times of year. I love everything – the food, the decorating, the time spent with close friends, family and loved ones, the holiday parties and events. I love it all. One of the only things I do not look forward to is the holiday shopping. Don’t get me wrong – I love shopping for others, but I have a bad habit of waiting until the very last minute to get all of my holiday shopping done. Guilty! Who else is guilty of this? Raise your hand!
One thing that is important and that I know very well, is not only shopping in style, but comfortable. This is my biggest tip when shopping. Always dress comfortably, especially when selecting the right pair of shoes. After all, you will be doing a lot of walking.
With the holidays quickly approaching and the last-minute holiday shopping, it is very important to be in the most comfortable shoes. Whenever I am on the go, you can bet I will be in my trusty flats. I always opt for a flat shoe that will keep me running errands and what-not comfortably throughout the entire day.
We all know that sparkles and velvet are a must during the holidays, which is why I can’t get enough of these burgundy beauties from Naturalizer. While I love my heels and boots, flats are definitely without a doubt, my go-to shoe for hustling and bustling during the holidays. The best part is that these flats are festive enough for all your holiday parties. These can take you from day to night, and you can style them casual or dress them up. It’s a win-win!
This post is sponsored; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
We are well into the holiday season, and by now, most of you have probably finished all of your holiday shopping. Family? Check. Friends? Check. The kiddos? Check. The furry babies? Check check. White elephant gifts or gift exchange gifts? Double check!
So now that you got all of your shopping done and out of the way, what about a little gift for yourself? It’s perfectly fine to treat yo self! Or maybe you want to send this post to your significant other or your secret elfster to remind them what you want.
And others… well who haven’t nearly started their holiday shopping, not to worry because that’s why I’ve compile a list of gifts for not only yourself but for everyone else on your list as well. Raise your hand if this is you? (slowly raises own hand).
Here are a few of my holidays favorites that are not perfect for any last minute gifts, but also for yourself. Don’t mind if I do! 😉
Can you believe that Christmas is just around the corner?! I can’t! Next thing you know, it’ll be 2018. OMG!!! I feel like the year flew by so quick. But I also feel this way around this year every year. Anyone else?
I love the holidays only because everyone is always so merry and gay and full of love and happiness, and I love it all. I wish we could all be this way all year long and not just around the holidays – but something about the holidays and this time of year just makes you feel this way, and puts you in a jolly ol’ mood. Agree or disagree?
Here are 5 things I’m looking forward to this holiday…
Spending time with friends and family.
Playing games, like Catch Phrase and Cards Against Humanity. So much fun!
New Years is by far one of my favorite holidays to celebrate. I love dressing up and being so festive and surrounded by the most important people in my life.
I love watching Christmas movies.
And last but not least (my favorite favorite of all favorite things), I’m so ready for Tamales!

The time is FINALLY here! The moment we have all been waiting for. The holiday deals and steals. That’s right. It’s Cyber Week holiday Sales, and I’ve put together a list of all the sales that are happening now. From apparel to accessories to beauty to mens to home – I’ve listed it all. All you have to do is click the links below for each sale and it will direct you to the discounts that each store is offering. It’s a long one, so be sure to get comfy. Grab a chair, get some coffee, and shop on!
Not sure what to get the mister for Christmas this year? Didn’t realize Christmas was around the corner and need a last minute gift? Don’t worry. I gotchu boo. Get your special someone something special (obvi) but that’s also affordable.
I’ve created a holiday gift guide for him that’s under $100. I hope this is helpful for anyone that is not done shopping for their boo’s.
The time has come. Holidays are here, and the real important question is what do I wear for…?
Whether you’re attending a fancy holiday party/event, or going to a company party, Christmas dinner, or anything holiday related, I’ve got you covered boo. I decided to put together a few holiday items that are all under $100 – duh. Because why would you spend more than that?
Scratch that. I’ll speak for myself. I don’t like spending a lot on clothing or accessories because I don’t think you have to in order to look ah–mazing!
It’s that time of the year again, and I know I have been talking about getting back into doing more DIYs.
The time has finally come! I decided to do another DIY Christmas ornament simply because the first ornaments I made were a hit. To this very day my last DIY (from 2010) Christmas Ornament (click here for post) has gotten so much love.
Any who, let’s get started.
I decided to make faux feather pom pom christmas ornaments.
I used the glue gun and dabbed a small amount onto the ornament, and began gluing the boa around. I decided to use smaller ornaments (last minute decision) because they looked much better on a smaller ornament than on the bigger ones.
It was such an easy and fun DIY. Hope you all enjoy it!
How amazing is this dress?! I love the color and the mesh details along the neck and sleeves. It’s the perfect Holiday dress. And let’s not forget about the shoes! Most important part of the outfit, am I right or am I right?! Glitter boots?! Sign me up.
Happy new year everyone! It’s such an exciting time of year because I feel like this is the time when everyone is so motivated to do something new, something different or make some changes. At least, that’s how I feel. 2015 is going to be another great year and my plans are to be a better me. Like every year, I plan to try new things – whether it’s traveling to a new place, eating something I’ve never eaten before, do more outdoor activities, change my perspective on certain things, make change in myself, even try new trends. I tend to wear a lot of denim (I can’t help it, it’s my go-to), so I’m going to try to wear more skirts and dresses… starting with this velvety-fringe lacey dress I cannot get enough of. Three trends in one dress and it works so perfectly!
