BRUNCH SO HARD, MIMOSAS WANNA FIND ME
As a fashion and lifestyle blogger, I am invited to many events throughout the week, and while they are all so much fun, my favorite events are the ones that involve food… don’t judge me. If there’s an event with food, I’m totally there. You can find me chasing the waiter around with the platter of hors d’oeuvres. To be honest, my favorite influencer events are the brunch ones (hashtag sorry not sorry). So naturally, when I was invited for a tasting at the Sapphire Pantry in Laguna Beach, there was no hesitation. I was definitely attending!
If you follow me on Instagram @melrodstyle, then you might’ve seen on my stories all the food we were able to taste. Sadly, I didn’t get to take photos of every dish (hence why I am not a food blogger), because my belly could not wait #STORYOFMYLIFE, but we had the following from their breakfast menu: OATMEAL, TRADITIONAL SANDWICH (hickory smoked turkey, scrambled egg whites, tomato, whole wheat bread), BREAKFAST TACO, BREAKFAST BURRITO, BUTTERMILK PANCAKES, PB & J FRENCH TOAST (ahhh insert drooling emoji here), SMOKED SALMON SANDWICH, and so much more. Just thinking about all the food
we I devoured is putting me back into a serious food coma.
If you are ever in the area or are planning to visit Laguna beach, I highly recommend giving them a visit because their food is incredible, and their staff and manager were the friendliest.
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love to brunch. Brunch is such a delightful affair. The workweek is over, and it’s all about enjoying your time off. Plus, there’s food, which is obviously the most exciting part.
This week is all about Easter, so Sunday brunch with girlfriends seemed fitting. I invited my two favorite blogger gals Enocha of Locks and Trinkets and Elizabeth of A Keene Sense of Style to brunch at Manuela – a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Right up my alley. Manuela brings southern charm to the Arts District with their locally-grown produce, and a variety of vintage furniture throughout the restaurant. It was a gorgeous place to take photos. Besides, what’s a blogger brunch without taking a million photos before eating, right?! 😉
No better way to celebrate the holiday than gathered with your best gals over a delicious meal and yummy lattes. Sounds like the perfect way to end the weekend.
I decided to switch things up this Easter. Instead of a pastel color, I opted for a metallic-shimmery lacquer – Worth A Pretty Penne. It has a slight rose-tinted silvery-copper tone that has quickly made its way to my top favorite colors this season.

I hope your Easter is filled with nothing but good memories. Whether you’re meeting up with friends or spending it with your family, the most important thing is to be surrounded by those who mean the world to you.
I hate to admit it but with my busy schedule, I often skip meals, which is the worst thing you can do. The worst part is that when I do eat, it’s all junk food.
Being a blogger and always on the go, Eat Crateful has honestly helped me stay on track and make sure I get my meals in between my crazy-busy-days.
If you’re not familiar with Eat Crateful, allow me to fill you in… Eat Crateful is a gourmet meal delivery service created by top chef and celebrity nutritionist Cristina Bowerman.
