Happy Monday babes! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was filled with good company and good food. Follow me on Instagram in case you missed my weekend shenanigans (@melrodstyle).
Beginning the first day of the week with an super duper casual outfit, and the most coziest Hilfiger sweater that I wish I had the matching bottoms to lounge in.
Side note: let the holiday shopping countdown begin! Can you believe Thanksgiving is in a few days, and before we know it, it’ll be Christmas and then 2018!!! Aaahhhh! Am I the only one that hasn’t begin my holiday shopping? I hope I’m not the only one. Speaking of, I plan to share a few holiday gift ideas, so be sure to keep an eye out.
By now, the malls are probably the craziest and most hectic, especially because of the most anticipated sale of the year – the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The only time I wish I had a sugar daddy (no offense Horhey). It’s the most dangerous sale, but most exciting because a lot of the brands that are normally super expensive get dropped to a more reasonable price that cannot be passed up, I meannnn. Lucky for us there’s online shipping so we don’t have to wait in ridiculous lines. We can simply shop form the comfort of our home.
So without further ado, here are my top picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that are currently sitting in my shopping cart, because it is frowned upon to be in a store with no bra, sweatpants and a glass a wine.
Overalls will forever remind me of my childhood. From short overalls – to skirt overalls, they’re such a good throwback trend that is currently still on trend. How many of you wore these as a kid? Or even still today?
For those who know me know that I love slouchy, boyfriend and loose fitting clothes. I’m not much of a fitted, skin-tight, body-con wearing type of gal. I decided to step out of my comfort zone with this turtleneck knitted dress that I must say I’m really a fan of.
What do you guys think? I would love to know what you’re not a fan of wearing and what type of nothing would be out go your comfort zone.
If you follow me on snapchat (melrod1206) or instagram (@melrodstyle), you know I did most of my Christmas shopping at the Outlets at Orange. I found this hat randomly at Forever 21, which was on sale for $12 (so I thought), until I was ready to make my purchase. Apparently there was an additional discount on the hat, so total for the hat was $6. Score! Total bargain and definitely had to come home with me.
I was jumping for joy inside.
Hope everyone has an amazing week and happy holidays!
Random fact but true: I own one pair of knee-high boots that I’ve worn probably once in my life. These are now the second pair I own, and I’m obsessed. I always thought that knee-high boots didn’t look good on me until I tried these on.
It was all over from then on. I fell hard for these.
I kind of wish I had these in black, too.
I decided I wanted to style these boots two ways. A day look and a night look.
